I have made it here after a long flight and a 3 hour drive .. I was met at Manchester Airport by my lovely Uncle Paul and Aunty Brenda. I don’t want to rub it in Em but we headed back to their beautiful house in Cheshire for cups of tea , my first piece of pork pie and sandwiches .. Joy! So wonderful to see them , we then all jumped in the car and Paul drove me the nearly 3 hours to reach St Bees. The drive through Cumbria to the West coast was beautiful … Dry stone walls and rolling hills . I am so grateful to Paul and Brenda for getting me here and for the chance to spend this time with them . I love being with them . So here I am at my starting point of St Bees.. What a thrill after so much of my planning has started with the two words , St Bees.. ! I have nestled in to Stonehouse Farm B&B , Carol has got me all sorted ! I’m not throwing myself into the St Bees night life , instead opting for hot shower , pyjamas and the BBC .

Ooh lovely! Watching Antiques Roadshow and thinking of you. Got my haircut today by Emma from the Midlands. Seeing as she was from the UK I had to tell her about my friend doing the Coast to Coast. She said England's ok but there are nicer places. I didn't wash her mouth out, as she did have scissors to my hair! Tempted though! Enjoy your first day. Love Shoshie
